Two events not to be missed in Leighton Buzzard in 2022
Summer seems a long way off, here are two events that are not to be missed in Leighton Buzzard in 2022 to add to your summer plans.
Are you dreaming of beaches and summer getaways? Perhaps you are thinking of a staycation or two. According to neuroscientists planning, anticipating and imagining an event can give us a real mental boost at this time of year. Luckily in Leighton Buzzard there are two BIG events coming up that you won’t want to miss so pop these dates in your calendar before you hit the holiday brochures and before you know it you’ll be kicking back and enjoying them for real.
1. Jubilee Celebrations – Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June
Leighton Buzzard’s May Day Fair has been missing for 2 years but will be back and will be moving date to combine with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The Rotary Club of Leighton-Linslade are planning a special one off event is to be created to align with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations commencing Thursday 2nd June with a Beacon lighting ceremony. Friday 3rd June will be the re-named (for one year only) Jubilee Fair and further plans by the Town Council include the Big Lunch on Sunday. Save the date it is going to one big celebratory weekend.
2. Buzzstock Music Festival – Friday 1st July to Saturday 2nd July
Leighton Buzzard has been waiting a long time for it’s own music festival and finally it is here. Buzzstock Music Festival 2022 will be headlining top tribute artists over two days. Set at Leighton Buzzard Rugby Club, this is an exciting event that all the town can enjoy. Friday features tributes to Indie Rock bands including Oasis and Saturday has a line up of tributes to the big pop hits headlined by none other than the West End show Abba Mania.
